You can use micro:bit CreateAI on an Android device using a web browser or the app. 


Using the CreateAI Android app

You do not require a cable to use the CreateAI Android app, but your tablet must have Bluetooth enabled.

Using a Chrome or Edge browser on an Android tablet

The experience of using micro:bit CreateAI on an Android device in a browser is just the same as on a desktop/laptop computer.


You will need to use either a Chrome or Edge web browser and the right USB cable to connect your Android device to your micro:bit. Our article Using a micro USB cable with an Android device will help you find a USB cable or adapter to connect your Android device to your micro:bit.

Tips

  • Follow the micro:bit CreateAI getting started user guide and on-screen instructions to be guided through the setup and connection process.
  • When on an Android device, it is best to use CreateAI in the landscape mode.
  • If you have previously paired the same micro:bit with the micro:bit Android app, you will need to remove it from your Bluetooth settings before connecting with micro:bit CreateAI. Open Settings, choose "Connected Devices," tap the gear icon next to the micro:bit, and choose "Forget" or "Unpair."
